Similar to designers like Betsey Johnson and brands like Victoria’s Secret, Desigual fashion shows have the models practically dancing their way down the runway.
Par for course, Desigual’s Fall/Winter 2014 Collection was presented to an upbeat tempo, based on a philosophy of tolerance, positivity and fun! As the models showed off the new designs, they engaged an audience of celebrities, press and photographers by smiling, blowing kisses, winking, and making the shape of a heart with their hands!
Speaking of Victoria’s Secret, you might have recognized a few famous faces strutting their stuff this season?
V.S. Angels, Candice Swanepoel and Erin Heatherton were just a couple of the big name models who walked in the show!
Also, debuting her runway skills for the first time at New York Fashion Week was Real Housewife of Beverly Hill’s Yolanda Foster’s daughter, Gigi Hadid, who is making fashionable headlines as the ‘rookie of the year’ and the ‘girl to watch out for!’ [see pic below]

This fall/winter expect to see more color than usual in your wardrobe. In true Desigual nature, dresses, tops, and coats were busy with mixed prints, think checkered patterns with stripes and graphic images.
Chunky peep toe booties were what models wore on their feet. Short dresses and bulls eye patterns reminded us all of a serious ‘60’s influence in this collection.
Models’ skins were kept fresh faced while eyes were played up with gold foil shadow that smeared on the lid and up and out past the eyebrows. Bright yellow gold shadow used in the inner to half of the eyelid and a darker burnt gold color smoked out the eyes towards the end. Lips were glossy in nude, pink, or burgundy. Pink blush made cheeks look like they were just pinched.
Hair was bouncy with curls either half up and half down with a deep side part. Some models even sported finger waves and a toned version of the pompadour.
